LA KIVA - BIRDS AND ARCHEOLOGY
La Kiva Birding Tour combines the incredible birdwatching and archeology in San Agustin!
La Kiva is a reserve which has been working to conserve local nature for more than 50 years. It’s home to colourful birds like White-bellied Woodstar, Blue-capped Hummingbird, and the majestic Green Jay.
Alongside birding, you can explore history, traditions and beautiful landscapes in the reserve, where the flora and fauna have created a unique environment. You’ll learn about the cultivation of avocados, fruit trees, and other regional products too.
This tour also includes a visit to the nearby museum and the archaeological park, where you can enjoy birdwatching in the region’s primary forests while learning about internationally significant Neolithic stones.
